Any unevenness in these items is due to the manufacturing process (sand casting). Our cast aluminium products are electroplated to create the various finishes (colours). The products are not food-safe and should not come into direct contact with food (protect them with cling film or glass plates when in use). Please do not expose the products to the elements or moisture on a constant basis – cast aluminium oxidises and forms what is known as ‘white rust’ (efflorescence), which can also damage the surface.
Our candle pins are designed to decorate taper and pillar candles. Warm the pin slightly before use so that it is easier to press into the candle and to prevent the candle from splintering or breaking. Even candles fitted with a candle pin must not be left to burn unattended.
